How do I clean a framed piece of cross-stitch? |
|||
| This
is one of those times when the old cliché: “An ounce of prevention
is worth a pound of cure” is brought to mind. Regular vacuuming and dusting
of a framed piece of cross stitch will increase its life-span considerably.
Most pieces will remain fresh for up to fifteen to twenty years. After
that period of time, it would probably be a good idea to take the piece
apart, thoroughly wash the needlework, and then remount and reframe it.
