My cross stitch is not centered on the fabric - what did I do wrong? |
|||
| I
recommend that you begin stitching in the center of the design or the
nearest logical starting point to the center. Gently fold the fabric into
quarters and pinch the center point or put a pin in it. Do not mark it
with any kind of pen or pencil! Now find the center of the charted design
by following the arrows in the margin to the center of the chart. Begin
with the edge/corner of a color that is closest to this point and work
out from there. Information from Cross Country Stitching Magazine columns "Ask Judie" - Judie Solomon, Thistle Needleworks & "Carol’s Crafty Corner" - Carol Rice, The Craft Menagerie
