1 large head cabbage, grated
celery & green pepper to taste, grated
2 tsp salt water to cover grated vegetables

Let stand 1 hour, drain well

2 cups sugar
1/4 cup water
1 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon celery seed

 

Combine sugar, water, vinegar and celery seed and boil together for 1 minute. Cool to room temperature then pour over cabbage. Refrigerate or freeze in drained amounts.
